Since I work as a HR consultant, I often advise on the careers of others.

These troubles are like this.

“I do not know what I want to do”

“What I want to do is different from what I have to do”

Many issues were related to what we wanted to do. That is also what I am facing.

As a result, I have found up the pattern of distress and the methodology of awareness.

Last year (2018) I put together the methodology I had advised so far, incorporated it into training, and implemented it to a few people, and it was very well received.

Since I brushed up every time, I think that the accumulated know-how has some value.

I decided to write down the method and the knack this time.

Participants will be given an imitation paper and a pen and will be instructed to draw the same content as the whiteboard (don’t forget to write your name).

Briefly describe the concept of career anchors (see).

Let’s convey the message of “increase the area of overlapping part” of 3 circles.

2.WILL (what you want to do) 60 minutes
2.WILL(你想做什麼)60分鐘

Focus on one participant.

First A.
第一A.

Give Mr. A three yellow sticky notes and ask them to write “what you want to do”. Write one content on one sticky note. In a concise sentence. Any content is fine. “I want to eat sweets” and “I want to change the world with new services” is OK.

Don’t think too much, 5 minutes.

Meanwhile, participants other than Mr. A should read Mr. A’s “personal history”.Imagine Mr. A’s “what you want to do” and write only one on a yellow sticky note. In a concise sentence.

Even if you are not used to Mr. A, write it by analogy from his “personal history” or the appearance of Mr. A you saw in today’s training are allowed.

After writing, let’s surround Mr. A’s imitation paper. Let’s share it.

Participants other than Mr. A put a sticky note in “WILL” of the imitation paper to convey Mr. A’s “what they want to do” forecast. Mr. A quietly listens (without any objections or explanations).

After telling everyone’s expectations, Mr. A tells everyone what they want to do. Please paste notes one by one in the circle of “WILL”. The lecturer urges Mr. A to talk in conjunction with his personal history.

Then all the people surround Mr. B’s imitation paper and follow the same procedure.

When everyone is done, everyone will sit down and share their thoughts and awareness (WAKACHIAI).

You will be informed by other people of unexpected things you want to do. If you are not good at thinking about “WILL”, you will often be surprised at finding your own will with this training. Also, by linking it with your personal history, you will gradually see your career.

Please take a break here once.

3.CAN (what you can do) 60 minutes
3.CAN(你可以做什麼)60分鐘

Next is about CAN (what you can do) and CAN ‘T (what you can not do).
接下來是關於CAN(你可以做什麼)和CAN’T(你不能做什麼)。

Distribute two red sticky notes and two blue sticky notes to all participants. Have blue sticky notes write about what they can do. Have them write on red sticky notes what they can not do.

Don’t think too much, 5 minutes.

Even simple or difficult content is fine. “Good character” “I can be attentive” “Kind” “I have a national qualification”.

Focus on one participant. At first Mr. A.

All participants see Mr. A’s imitation paper.

Mr. A reads the “CAN” and “CAN’T” sticky notes one by one. Then stick the sticky note on the “CAN”circle written on the mock paper.
A先生一個接一個地讀“CAN”和“CAN‘T”的筆記。

Participants other than Mr. A hold sticky notes in blue and red, write Mr. A’s “CAN” and “CAN`T” on sticky notes, convey them in real time, and stick them on imitation paper.

The dynamism that “CAN” appears one after another is important. Instructors need to activate the place by writing and pasting on sticky notes what they noticed in this training place.

The instructor must first issue something like “His voice is big”, “His smile is nice” etc to show that any small content is acceptable. He gradually introduces deep words such as “He has great self-discipline” and “He considers the other party’s position” and evokes the occasion.

Be careful when participants write “CAN’T”. The participants only convey that Mr. A will be helpful for thinking about their career.

The rule is to “tell with love.” You don’t need just a bad word. “Personality denial” is absolutely prohibited.

Then all the people surround Mr. B’s imitation paper and follow the same procedure.

When everyone is done, everyone will sit down and share their thoughts and awareness (WAKACHIAI).

Please take a break here once.

4.MUST (what you should do) 30 minutes
4.MUST(你應該做什麼)30分鐘

It is a “MUST” part.

Focus on one participant. At first Mr. A.

The instructor gives Mr. A two orange sticky notes. Mr. A writes “One thing to do in life” and “What I think is expected from the surroundings” one by one.

Don’t think too much, 3 minutes.

“One thing to do in life” means that you implicitly mean “MUST”. “Care of parents” “Child care” “Starting business” “Successive family business”

“What I think is expected from the surroundings” is what you imagined. “My boss wants to me be a manager in the long run.” “My husband wants to me go back sooner.” “I am expected to be a leader among my colleagues.”

Meanwhile, participants other than Mr. A write “Your expectations about Mr. A” on orange sticky notes.

Even if you are usually unrelated to Mr. A, you can write because you were together in this training.

All participants see Mr. A’s imitation paper.

Mr. A pastes a sticky note on the “MUST” circle of imitation paper while reading two “MUST”. Participants other than Mr. A paste sticky note on the “Must”circle of imitation paper while reading “Your expectations about Mr. A”. This training is successful if it gives you a sense of tasting Mr A’s life.

Mr. A comments and this part is over.

Then all the people surround Mr. B’s imitation paper and follow the same procedure.

When everyone is over, there is no break, and I immediately go to the next work.

5.Carrier anchor 30 minutes

Reflecting on what has been done in this training, the instructor will tell. It’s time to think about “the overlap of three circles”.

Paste a green sticky note in the middle of the circle of the imitation paper, and write “a single integrated sentence” with “WILL”, “CAN” and “MUST”.

The colorful sticky notes stuck on a large amount of imitation paper are the “YOU” that you stared with the help of other participants. Look at everything again and write green sticky notes. 2 minutes.

“You’ve been thinking seriously so far, you can absolutely write green sticky notes.”

When everyone is done writing, everyone does “WAKACHIAI” and training is over.

For your information, it is a photograph of the imitation paper when I myself participated.

Impressions from people who have participated come to me.

“The words on the green sticky note in the middle are at the center of my career. When I get lost, I rely on it.”
